The Importance of Cardio

Conditioning, Cardio or whatever you like to call it.

Some love it. Some hate it.

Your heart is a muscle too and needs to be worked.

Getting a sweat on will boost those all important feel good endorphins, needed now more than ever.

You won’t lose all your hard earned muscle by dedicating a period of training towards improving your cardio fitness.

When you do get to return to the gym you will recover better between those hard sets of squats or deadlifts.

If you have some home cardio equipment you could use it or better still get outdoors and get it done.

Choose something you enjoy and have some way of measuring whether you are making progress, for example same distance but do it quicker, break up your 5k into 5 1k’s instead, use uphill for a change of pace.

Many ways to skin the cat.

Your body adapts quickly to cardiovascular work so do mix it up to keep challenging your body.
